Adani University has emerged as a key academic hub for the IETE West Zone Seminar and IETE Students Forum (ISF) Congress 2026, organised on the theme “Trends and Innovation in Aerospace Electronics.” The prestigious multi-location programme brought together leaders from space, defence, banking, industry and academia, reinforcing Gujarat’s growing stature in advanced technology discourse.
Organised by the Delhi-headquartered Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and hosted by its Ahmedabad Centre, the seminar was conducted in collaboration with Adani University, the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N). Sessions were held across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, enabling wider academic and professional participation.
Inaugural Ceremony at Shantigram Campus
The inaugural ceremony was held at the Adani University campus in Shantigram, Ahmedabad, and commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, marking the formal opening of the seminar and congress.
Prof (Dr) Dhaval Pujara, Provost of Adani University, delivered the welcome address, underscoring the university’s commitment to innovation-led education, research excellence and meaningful collaboration in emerging technology domains. The inaugural address was delivered by Mrs Preeti Agrawal, Chairperson, IETE Ahmedabad Centre, who highlighted IETE’s role in advancing electronics and telecommunication engineering through knowledge exchange and student engagement.
Distinguished Leadership and Visionary Addresses
The event was graced by Nilesh Desai, Director, Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO, as Chief Guest, while Ashish Pandey, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank of India (UBI) attended as Guest of Honour, reflecting the growing convergence of technology, finance and national development.
The keynote address was delivered by Ashish Rajvanshi, Chief Executive Officer, Adani Defence & Aerospace, who spoke on the expanding role of electronics and avionics in nation-building, the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and the strategic roadmap towards Viksit Bharat 2047. The presidential address was delivered by Sunil, President, IETE, outlining the institution’s forward-looking agenda in aerospace and electronics innovation.
Knowledge Exchange and Future-Focused Collaboration
The seminar featured a series of technical sessions and expert-led discussions covering emerging technologies, research advancements and innovation trends in aerospace electronics. Industry professionals, academicians, researchers and students participated actively, making the programme a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary learning and dialogue.
By hosting the inaugural proceedings, Adani University reaffirmed its position as a centre for technology-focused learning and advanced research, while contributing meaningfully to national efforts aimed at strengthening India’s aerospace and electronics ecosystem. The programme concluded with a strong emphasis on sustained collaboration, research partnerships and innovation-driven growth.
