Gujarat is emerging as a medical tourism destination with its conducive medical tourism policy and state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. ‘Atithi Devo bhava’ (Guests are akin to God,) is a cultural tradition that has been in practice in Gujarat since ancient times. In recent times, the same tradition has been extended to patients from around the world to alleviate their pain and suffer at affordable costs.
The medical tourism industry has experienced significant growth over the past decade, driven by the increasing demand for high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services across the globe. While Chennai in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, New Delhi and Mumbai have been attracting patients from abroad, Gujarat is tapping this emerging sector with better international air connectivity. And now efforts are on to air connect Bangladesh capital Dhaka with Vibrant Gujarat.
With an avowed aim to strengthen India-Bangladesh relations, NewEra Medical Tourism, a division of Newera Skills LLP led by CMD Milan Parikh, embarks on a crucial visit to Bangladesh.
