With advancement in science and technology, the threat perception of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and disaster (CBRND) by pandemics like COVID, terrorists, Bhopal like industrial accidents, Chernobyl nuclear disaster, wars among countries and pollution in cities like New Delhi are increasing worldwide. To address these crucial issues, City-based CBRND Defence Research Circle had introduced specialized bunkers for government authorities as well as individuals. Demand exceeds supply
“We have order books full till 2025 and new orders will be met in 2026 only. Generally, it takes 90 days to manufacture the specific product and supply. The cost of setting up these CBRND protection products is Rs 15,000 per square foot for smart homes, apartments and offices. This is a long term investment in health and safety of the family members and office staffers,” said Shah.

G20 meetings & CBRND protection systems
During the G20 meetings organized by the Government of India recently, the security agencies had deployed the CBRND protection systems at the event venues and the hotels where VVIPs had stayed in all over the country. Incidentally, it was first deployed in Ahmedabad during the earlier visit of US President-elect Donald Trump prior to the pandemic.
