Madhuram Charitable Trust, which is working for the marginalised, specially gifted, and physically challenged persons, on Tuesday announced it has expanded its presence in Mumbai and has tied up with Germany’s Otto Back to support beneficiaries.

The Ahmedabad-based Trust will sponsor the cost of the imported prosthetic legs to be provided to beneficiaries from Mumbai, while Otto Bock will provide fitment services free of cost.
“We are very happy to begin Madhuram Charitable Trust’s work in Mumbai. Otto Bock is a 100-year-old German multinational company that has been working with people with disability for many years. They are the perfect partners for us as we aim to support the maximum number of beneficiaries in Mumbai. I am confident together we will be able to change many lives,” said Shraddha Soparkar, Founder Trustee of Madhuram Charitable Trust.
Madhuram Charitable Trust aims to provide prosthetic legs to 50 beneficiaries in the initial phase.
Both bulls hit him hard and because of this, there was a crush injury, and his leg needed to be amputated from above the knee. With the help of Madhuram’s prosthetic leg, he has begun to live his life. Presently, he is in his final year of BA and helps his father in farming.(2/2)

“The beneficiaries were very happy with the best-quality prosthetic legs provided to them,” Soparkar said.
