After Thiruvananthapuram launching its direct connectivity on Tuesday, Kuwait’s first private airline operator Jazeera Airways all set to take off from Bengaluru on Friday. Jazeera Airways completes one year of successful operations from Chennai, said Andrew Ward, Vice President, Marketing & Customer Experience here on Wednesday.
Announcing this at a press conference in Chennai, Andrew Ward said as of now, the airline is operating 19 flights from New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai and Ahmedabad. The airline began its operations from Thiruvananthapuram on November 1 and will inaugurate a flight from the Silicon Volley of India – Bengaluru – on November 4 (Friday), he added.

Andrew Ward said, “The airline which owns a Terminal at Kuwait International airport offers slew of ease-of-boarding facilities to its passengers. It operates flights to 55 popular destinations (majority of them in Middle-east countries) Central, South Asia, Africa and European countries where the high-demand business, leisure and weekend destinations.”

The airline earned a net profit of Rs 21.76 KDs during the first 9 months of operations this year. During this period, it has carried 2.6 million passengers with 76.4% load factor and achieved an operating margin of 15.45%, Andrew Ward added.
Jazeera Airways is the first airline operating 11 Airbus 320 Neo airlines from India, Andrew Ward said.

Having started its India operations with Hyderabad in October 2017, Jazeera Airways has quickly grown in the last 5 years serving from 5 to 8 destinations in India and currently has 30 direct services to Kuwait and beyond from India, she added.
Bharathan Ravindran, Vice President, Sales and Nisha Alexander, Sales Manager, Chennai were also present at the media briefing.
Jazeera Airways’ flights from Kuwait to Chennai depart at 17:20 pm local time on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays, and takes off on its return flight from Chennai at 01:30 am local time on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Mondays.
With a view to reciprocate and appreciates its trade partners, the Jazeera Airways handed over awards to 10 top travel agents at an glittering event in Chennai on Wednesday evening by the top management.
