After traversing 1,600-km, Konark Gunner cycling expedition reached Dedhusar Village in Rajasthan on Wednesday.
“As part of celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, commemorating 75 years of Indian Independence, Konark Gunner cycling expedition reached Dedhusar Village, Rajasthan on Wednesday, 01 March 2023. This expedition was flagged off from Vigokot Fort Gujarat on 22 February 2023 covering 1,600 kilometers and travelling through 75 Border villages of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The team aims to spread the message of developing adventure spirit and awareness of the ‘Agnipath Scheme’ among youth,” says a Defence release.
Variuos interactive sessions were organized, including distribution of leaflets, during the expedition and outreach activities. In addition, the participants also interacted with Ex-servicemen of the nearby areas and expressed gratitude to ‘Veer Naris’ by felicitating them at Khavda, Amarapar, Santalpur, Suigam and Bhakasar villages. Locals and the villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the humane and selfless gesture of Indian Army for this noble drive, the statement added..
