President of the AFWWA (R) {Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional)}, South Western Air Command on Friday inaugurated a handicraft exhibition – “Kutch Kala Kunj” – at SWAC Campus, Gandhinagar. Dr Arathi Singh, President, AFWWA(R) inaugurated the three-day event which will culminate on Sunday.
Exhibition is one of its own kind being hosted to bring rarely explored rural & vintage handicrafts of Kutch, which are symbols of our rich culture & heritage, to doorstep of #Defence personnel & families

The exhibition is aimed to showcase and promote the skills of artisans of Kutch region. It will comprise different art forms viz. Ajrakh, Bandhni, Batik, Rogan Art, Copper Bell, Kutchi Embroidery, Lacquer Work, Reha Knives, Pottery etc, along with live demonstrations of the intricate processes involved in making these traditional handicraft products. The exhibition is one of its own kind being hosted to bring the rarely explored rural and vintage handicrafts of Kutch region, which are also symbols of our rich culture and heritage, to the doorstep of our defence personnel and their families.
The exhibition will culminate on Sunday, June19, 2022 in a befitting function where the participating artisans will be suitably felicitated.
