“Agentic AI must not only be powerful but also responsible and ethical in its application,” asserted Namrata Somani, Regional Head – Tata Consultancy Services, Ahmedabad, as she inaugurated CYBERSHADEZ 2026 at GLS University, setting a visionary and future-focused tone for the two-day national tech confluence.

Themed “Agentic AI,” CYBERSHADEZ 2026 emerged as a vibrant national-level techfest jointly hosted by the Faculty of Computer Applications & IT and the Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Designed to foster innovation, technical mastery, and awareness of emerging technologies, the event transformed the campus into a dynamic hub of ideas, experimentation, and competitive brilliance.
In her keynote address, Somani shared insights into real-world applications of Agentic AI—systems capable of autonomous decision-making—and emphasized the growing need for responsible AI frameworks in an increasingly automated world. She encouraged students to blend technical competence with ethical consciousness, highlighting how industry leaders like Tata Consultancy Services are shaping AI-driven transformation responsibly.
The inauguration was held in the presence of university leadership, faculty members, and an enthusiastic gathering of students. The event reflected the visionary leadership of Sudhir Nanavati, President of GLS University, whose continued guidance and commitment to academic excellence have propelled the institution into the national spotlight for innovation-driven education.

Nanavati reiterated the importance of platforms like CYBERSHADEZ in preparing students for industry challenges, reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering technological leadership and entrepreneurial thinking.
The event also highlighted the dedicated support of Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director, whose emphasis on student-centric growth and progressive learning ecosystems has strengthened GLS University’s culture of innovation. Her introduction during the ceremony underscored her pivotal role in nurturing interdisciplinary learning and empowering students to translate ideas into impactful solutions.
CYBERSHADEZ 2026 featured more than 20 competitions and hands-on technical workshops, drawing participation from over 1,000 students representing 45+ institutes and 26 universities nationwide. From AI hackathons and coding battles to robotics showcases and technical quizzes, the fest celebrated collaborative learning and competitive spirit.
Cash prizes exceeding ₹1 lakh were awarded to winners by the University management, marking the event as a grand celebration of technological ambition and youthful ingenuity.
The welcome address by the Deans emphasized how tech festivals act as innovation incubators—bridging classroom theory with real-world application and industry preparedness. An overview of the fest’s objectives and roadmap reflected GLS University’s determination to remain at the forefront of emerging technology discourse.
