Ahead of civic polls, JD(U)’s Gujarat unit on Friday unveiled a mobile app ‘Zero Berojgaree’ to help youth, unemployed people become entrepreneurs and not job-seekers.
Speaking to the media, healthcare entrepreneur-turned-politician, Surendar Chhajed, vice-president and spokesman of the party said, “We are launching a mobile app – Zero Berojgaree – to help people turn adversities into opportunities as finding jobs is very difficult during this pandemic period. Under this initiative, JDU professional trainers, motivators, and psychologists will play the role of catalysts in creating entrepreneurs with the use of digital technology. They will impart upskilling to youth, laid-off blue- & white-collar workers, small businessmen, migrant labourers, and make them stand on their feet. Right now entrepreneurship is a true vaccine to cure the spectre of unemployment.”
Elaborating on the features of “Zero Berojgaree” app, Chhajed said, “Using this application people will be able to register their skills and can also promote their business. Our main focus is to create more and more entrepreneurship. My vision is to unite society and the country. I believe in ‘Building Youth, Building Nation’. For me, business is meant to give pleasure not gives pressure.”
When asked about his political plunge, he replied that “From the lessons I have learnt during this pandemic as a healthcare provider, I have decided to join a political party with a clean image. Using this platform I can bring about a change in society by using my corporate strategy to reach out a lrger number of people. The pandemic is going on right now, but we have to move on. There is no shortage of talent in the country but there is a shortage of platforms so we all have to work together to build a platform from which talent can come out.”
Party’s state chief secretary-general Bishwa Jeet Singh said, “JD(U) Gujarat unit will contest in all seats of taluka, district panchayat and corporations in the upcoming local body elections.”
