As part of the 74th Independence Day celebrations, band concerts by Naval bands have been planned across the nation which will be broadcast on Doordarshan.

In the first such event held on Saturday, the Naval band from INS Valsura performed at Kirti Mandir, the home of Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar, Gujarat. The one-hour live show was broadcast on DD Bharti and DD Girnar.
Places of significance to India’s independence movement have been selected as venues for these Band Concerts, says a Navy release.
