Party general secretary N Anand led the traditional ‘Bhumi Puja’ (Pandhakkal Nadudhal or foundation stone) ceremony in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district.
In an open letter to his cadres, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay expressed his commitment to both his party and the people of Tamil Nadu. He emphasised the significance of the upcoming state-level conference, calling it a turning point for the party. “The foundation stone was not only laid for the conference but for our political journey as well,” Vijay wrote.
Vijay also informed that the in-charges of the committees for the conference work and the in-charges of the Assembly Constituencies will be announced soon.
Vijay also addressed the importance of responsibility and discipline among party members, urging them to be role models in both their personal lives and political activities. He called on his followers to demonstrate “military discipline” during the conference preparations and at the event itself. “Our party is not just an ordinary movement, it is a powerful force,” Vijay said, likening the party to an army of dedicated youth, women, and families working together.
He acknowledged that critics have questioned TVK’s political capabilities but promised that the successful organisation of the conference would prove the party’s strength and seriousness.
