Today, airports are no longer a mere stopover for boarding and de-boarding plane. It has become a destination in itself – offering arrays of options ranging from F&B, retail to entertainment. Some of the key international airports (for stopover or flight change) worldwide have become part of the travellers’ itinerary for shopping, entertainment, socialising etc, the statement added.
The trend is also catching up in India pretty first. Various domestic and international airports in the country are transforming into retail and shopping hubs. They offer a bouquet of options for shopping for thousands of travellers.

The team is currently working on Bodycoat (in BIAL), The Cellar (in IGIA) and couple of more projects in other Airports
Speaking about the ARCLAIN journey Karun Muthanna, Founder, ARCLAIN said, “It all started in the year 2016 with taking up the work of Hatti Kapi store at BIAL and since then we have never looked back. It is a learning curve for us, as the working regulation at airport is different than our regular assignment. With the frequent flow of passengers at the airport there are certain additional restrictions which limit our working hour. But despite all these challenges our designers and workers have given their best shot, and the outcome is always endearing.”
“I would also like to extend thanks to our discerning clients, who gave us opportunities to showcase ARCLAIN work at these airports,” Muthanna added.
Speaking on a similar line, Khanjan Patel co-founder ARCLAIN said “At ARCLAIN, our focus has always been to create a design which is sustainable, user-friendly and most importantly involves minimal maintenance. All our design replicates the same idea. We are quite proud of each project, which helped us showcase our multifarious capability in terms of design and visualisation and repertoire in terms of offerings and skills.
“It’s a big ask for us, working in some of the busiest and fastest-growing airports of the country. We are quite proud and elated to be part of this growth story, also would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all airport authorities for their support.” he added.
