City-based Samvedana Trust, which has been offering help to the underprivileged children to close educational gaps, upskilling of youth to increase their employability and fighting malnutrition in rural areas of Gujarat, is seeking volunteers and further funding.
Samvedana Trust has been working in tandem with the local authorities, charitable bodies and the service-minded sociopreneurs for over two decades for these common causes.
In order to expand and sustain its life-changing service to the marginalized in rural areas of Gujarat, the Trust needs constant funding as well as volunteers.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Janki Vasant, Founder of Samvedana Trust, says, “While the entire ecosystem is undergoing radical changes, selfless service connects mankind with that, which is an eternal constant. For me, it is productively engaging with meaningful interventions in underserved communities. NGOs have always played and are playing a pivotal role as that of a catalyst between the policymakers and the beneficiaries through their impactful interventions.”
As the world emerges from the shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic, Samvedana stands at the forefront of addressing the most pressing challenges: educational disruptions, rising malnutrition, and the increased cost of living. Our targeted initiatives, Eklavya and Pathshala, are tailored to empower rural communities, particularly those affected by the pandemic’s economic and social fallout.
Closing educational gaps
Vasant Pathshala, Samvedana’s pioneering education initiative, promises to fill the educational void created by the pandemic, focusing on nurturing 21st-century skills focusing on digital literacy and social and emotional learning (SEL). This isn’t just a school; it’s a sanctuary of hope, preparing children to confidently face the world with knowledge and resilience
Fighting malnutrition
Acknowledging the critical role of nutrition in children’s health, Samvedana has intensified its efforts to combat malnutrition, ensuring a brighter, healthier future for our children.
Understanding the economic strain on rural families, especially farmers, Samvedana is committed to alleviating the financial burdens exacerbated by the pandemic and environmental challenges.
Empowering youth through ‘Eklavya’
‘Eklavya’ scholarship initiative is designed to offer underserved youth opportunities for growth, learning, and future employability, fostering holistic development and community engagement.
Be part of the change
“Join the Trust in making a difference! Together, let’s turn challenges into opportunities and brighten the futures of those in need. We’re seeking donations and volunteers. Your help counts! Donate. Volunteer. Change lives,” says Janki Vasant.
Awards & accolades
