Reinforcing this scientific transformation, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) brought together researchers, clinicians and technology experts at a specialised workshop that explored how artificial intelligence is revolutionising life sciences and paving the way for smarter, faster and more precise biomedical breakthroughs.

The Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Clinical Research organised a one-day workshop on “Intelligence in Artificial Intelligence” on Saturday, highlighting the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in life sciences and biomedical research.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Kalanidhi Veerasamy, Member of Parliament, who underscored the growing importance of emerging technologies in strengthening India’s research ecosystem and advancing healthcare innovation.
The programme focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning for analysing complex biological data, enabling researchers to unlock deeper scientific insights with greater speed and accuracy.
Experts explained how AI-driven technologies are rapidly accelerating drug discovery, advancing precision medicine through predictive multi-omics, and supporting the development of self-driving laboratories capable of automating sophisticated research workflows.
The workshop also highlighted how the convergence of life sciences, data science and artificial intelligence is creating unprecedented opportunities for personalised healthcare, disease prediction and next-generation biomedical innovations.
The initiative reflects SRIHER’s continued commitment to promoting innovation, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and building scientific capacity in cutting-edge technologies that are reshaping the future of healthcare, medical research and life sciences.
