Books are the windows to another world which creates a parallel to the world we live in. Aiming to cultivate the good habit of reading among the youth and students alike Kashi Tamil Sangamam is holding a book exhibition in which several institutions are taking part. A large range of books in English and Tamil on a plethora of subjects are on display and even up for sale at the stalls. All India Council for Technical Education, National Book Trust, Central Institute of Classical Tamil and Central Institute of Indian Languages, have put up their stalls at the exhibition.

  • All India Council for Technical Education is offering books in Tamil on science and technology, which can be downloaded using the QR code.
  • Large range of books on culture, literature and other subjects in Tamil and English available at book exhibition
  • Some of the books are Thirukkural by Thiruvalluvar, Shilpadikaram, Manimekalai of Chitlai Chatnar, Pattu Pattu of Kapilar. The stall is offering an attractive 50% discount on many books.

Kashi Tamil Sangmam is acting as a bridge to get the north and the south closer and facilitating in furthering the interaction and the links between people of these two rich and ancient cultures. The literature, cuisines, art and cultural performances at the Sangamam have presented a glimpse of the southern state of Tamil Nadu in Kashi.

Central Institute of Classical Tamil is offering books on classic literary works in Tamil. The books ranging from classical literature to the modern one are also available in the digital form. Some of the books are Thirukkural by Thiruvalluvar, Shilpadikaram, Manimekalai of Chitlai Chatnar, Pattu Pattu of Kapilar. The stall is offering an attractive 50% discount on many books.

National Book Trust stall is offering books in many languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil and English among others. These include books on scriptures and modern literary works. There are books on mathematics and inspirational stories for children, while books on Bhagat Singh, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatama Gandhi and many more iconic personalities of the country are also available.

Prominent books that are catching the eye of readers include ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’, autobiography of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel by Vishnu Prabhakar, History of Khadi by Geetanjali Parikh among others. NBT is offering a 10% discount on several books.

Central Institute of Indian Languages, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has books in 22 languages on display and sale. These include books on Tamil language, Literature, Culture and other subjects. Besides, books for learning Tamil language both basic and advanced learning, linguistics, literature, administration, research methodology are also drawing attention. English-Tamil and Tamil-English dictionaries have also been put up at the stalls.
