Air Force Station Jamnagar, under the aegis of Headquarters South Western Air Command and Air HQ is undergoing a month long campaign towards green and clean India with a motto ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’.
The campaign has achieved its goals during the second phase, with a successful completion of massive cleaning drive at dispersed locations inside the station. Special emphasis was paid towards cleanliness in technical area, which will enhance ease of operations, manifold. The campaign also dedicated considerable time, manpower and station resources towards domestic area of AF-II, paying special emphasis towards clearing excessive vegetation along the perimeter wall and important MES installations like pump house, power station, static water points etc, clearing and cleaning of open drainage will be undertaken in the coming weeks.
The Station’s vision of enhancing security awareness through cleaning and clearing the surroundings in and around its campus appears to be gaining rapid acceptance across the ranks.
Whole hearted participation was witnessed during the campaign across ranks and files not only inside the campus but also during the ‘Outreach Programme – Swachhanjali to Bapu’ organsied at adopted village Kherabhereja. Air warriors, including their families and villagers nearby not only enjoyed the activity but also have understood the importance of cleanliness.
