As part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, commemorating 75 glorious years of Independence, Air Force Station Jamnagar is organising “IAF Azadi Maha Run” on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

As part of Tiranga Utsav, this Maha Run will start and end at the historic Lakhota Lake Complex Gate No. 01. The Maha Run will start at 6:00 am and is open for one and all. Registrations will commence on Friday, August 12, at 7 am at the lake venue.
Through this Maha Run, Indian Air Force (IAF) pledges its commitment to service of the nation and fellow countrymen. The IAF Azadi Maha Run is being organized under two separate categories: In the first category, participants would be running 15 km along with 75 air warriors of the IAF. In the second category, participants would be running/ walking 7,500 steps along with 750 air warriors holding the Tiranga (distance covered 5.1 km) through the by lanes of Jamnagar.
The Maha Run routes meander through the historic places of the city, highlighting the rich culture, history and glory of the city.
