Four students of ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited – Harshit Singla, Jinansh Jignesh Shah, Manas Goyal and Pranit Mathur -have once again brought pride to the nation with their remarkable achievements at the 21st International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO). Pranit Vikas Mathur, a classroom student of ALLEN Ahmedabad for the past five years, secured a Gold Medal. Pranit has created history by becoming the first student from Ahmedabad to win this prestigious honor.
Commenting on Pranit’s feat, Pankaj Kabra, Vice president Allen Career Institute Pvt Ltd and Zonal head of Allen Gujarat Zone stated, “Pranit’s success reflects the institute’s excellence, as four of ALLEN’s classroom students won gold medals this year. The Indian team, which achieved a clean sweep by securing all six gold medals, was declared the Country Winner and World Topper at the IJSO. This year’s competition, held from December 2 to 11, 2024, in Romania, witnessed participation from 57 countries. In recognition of Pranit’s feat, we offer him full waiver in fees.”
An elated Pankaj Baldi, Center Head of ALLEN Ahmedabad, stated, “The road to IJSO gold involves a rigorous selection process consisting of five stages. Starting with the NSEJS exam, a total of 301 students, including 51 from ALLEN, advanced to the second stage, INJSO. From there, 31 students qualified for the third stage, OCSC. Finally, a six-member team was selected to represent India at the global level, with four members being ALLEN students. Their exceptional performance secured gold medals for all four, further solidifying ALLEN’s dominance on the international stage.”
Pranit Mathur said, “Winning the Gold Medal at IJSO is a dream come true for me. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of my parents, mentors at ALLEN, and my hard work. I am proud to bring this honor to Ahmedabad and my country. Despite the adverse bone-chilling weather, fever and food issues, our Indian team had performed extremely well. ”
Interacting with the media, Pranit said, “I am planning to pursue Computer Engineering at the best IIT. Having won silver in chemistry and gold in physics, I will now prepare for the Maths Olympiad.”
Pranit’s parents said, “We are extremely proud of Pranit’s achievement. His dedication, hard work, and the excellent guidance provided by ALLEN were key factors in this success. Seeing him become the World Topper fills us with immense joy. At home, we have offered him a conducive environment to crack this toughest competition. To avoid distraction, we have not provided him mobile but he uses his mom’s handset only.”
Highlighting ALLEN’s consistent success, a senior representative shared that since 2015, ALLEN students have excelled at IJSO, winning a total of 38 gold medals and 5 silver medals. Milestones include 6 gold medals in 2018-19, 5 in 2021-22, and 4 gold medals in 2023-24.
