To drive home this vital message to all stakeholders, a discourse on ‘Impact of climate change on water and agriculture’ was organised at the Ahmedabad Management Association here on Wednesday.
This was held under the aegis of Nirubhai Desai – AMA Centre for Climate Change Management. A presentation and discussion on producing Biogas, an alternative energy through recycling of waste was held by Bharat Patel .
Innovative rain water harvesting using Bhugroo technique was presented by Tripti Jain, which has empowered many women in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Three selected films depicting solutions of climate change impact from the short film competition -1. The Race by Kumar Bhoi, 2. Baandh by Nilesh Desai 3. Short Film by Vipul Kamothi – were screened and awarded prizes at this event.
Jury members Rupaben Mehta, Shyam Parekkh, Paul Zaveri and Dr Alap Bhrahmbhatt made observations on films made by students and institutions and also talked about future plans of a film competition by by the AMA.
Nirubhai Desai family members Vishakha Desai and Anuradha Desai along with other family members graced the event.
The event was well attended by film makers, environmentalist educators, professionals and many AMA members.
