Laying out his vision, Dr. Jignesh Shah said: “This year, AMA will rope in college and school students along with NGOs to spread the lifesaving skill of CPR training. Incidentally, we had trained the Ahmedabad police and home guards last year in CPR. In order to reach the wider masses, we will initiate the training the trainer of CPR. We are also planning awareness drives on blood donation, activities on World Diabetes Day, and educating masses on organ donation. Our Doctors on Call initiative during the Diwali vacation, which has continued uninterrupted for the past 15 years, will once again serve the people of Ahmedabad this year.”
Dr. Shah further highlighted that AMA’s cultural fiesta and social events would ensure holistic well-being and bonding among members, while the Ladies Wing of AMA will play a “vital and proactive role” in community outreach and family engagement.
