Regular lives, calmer lanes, simpler dreams- this is what defines small towns in India. But are these easy to adapt, for big city dwellers? Navigating through the machinations of moving into a small town from the city of dreams, Mumbai, Amazon miniTV brings its second short film This Town That Future, this August. Directed by Thomas John and produced by Arre Studios, the film casts Shubhrajyoti Barat (Saina fame), Virti Vaghani and Bhairavi Raichura in the lead. With an evolving father -daughter relationship at core, This Town That Future has opened to diverse accolades across national and international awards.
The 25-minute movie takes viewers through the life of two young sisters who are forced into the absurdities of a small-town life, away from the hustle of a metro city like Mumbai. As they strive to convince their father to move back from a ‘stagnant future’, the movie traverses through a series of emotions around a heartwarming sibling bond, their growing mental unrest due to changing circumstances and the alluring magic that metro cities weave on humans. Strong performances by all three protagonists coupled with well- crafted shots leave the audience wanting for more.
With a vision to cater to audiences across geographies, the content line up on miniTV is chosen carefully to meet the discerning needs of today’s consumers while they enjoy a seamless shopping experience.
