Admissions for boys and girls aged 6 to 23 are now open. Interested students/parents can meet the Super Kings Academy staff at the academy (Peelamedu) in counselling sessions on December 23 and 24. They can also visit www.superkingsacademy.com for more details or contact 7305422282/6379389646.
The academy will be located at FE Sports Zone, 419/2 A, Villankurichi Village, VK Road, opposite to Guruswamy Nagar, Thanneer Pandal, Peelamedu, Coimbatore 641 004.
In his inaugural address, Ambati Rayudu said, “Coimbatore is lucky and really fortunate because growing up as a cricketer to get these kinds of facilities to practice is a dream. I am sure a lot of good cricketers will come up using these facilities in Coimbatore, especially having turf wickets and also having specialty coaching.”
“They can learn how to be a professional at a very early age. Personally, I learnt about professional sport only when I was about 17 or 18. But, kids now with the help of CSK and all the coaching staff can learn it at a very early age. And, it will really help them to not only represent Tamil Nadu but also India in the future. I am sure CSK has been doing a lot to give back to the sport and the fans,” he added.
Rayudu further said, “We have seen Junior Super Kings teams as well and we have seen many players going on to play for IPL teams as well as for India. So, I think it is a great initiative by CSK and I congratulate the partners FE Sports Zone. I am sure it will be a successful venture for them as well and I am hoping that Coimbatore in the near future will produce a lot of players not only for Tamil Nadu but I am sure a lot of international players as well.”
Louis Mariano, Director of Cricket of the Super Kings Academy, Soundararajan, Secretary of the Coimbatore District Cricket Association, Chirag Majithia and Tejal Majithia, the Proprietors of FE Sports Zone (franchise partners of Super Kings Academy) were the other guests of honour.
