Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting to review the preparations for holding the 2036 Olympics games in Gujarat.
માનનીય કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રીશ્રીએ રાજ્ય સરકારે ગુજરાતમાં ઓલિમ્પિકસ 2036 માટે જરૂરી સ્પોર્ટ્સ ઇન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રકચર, ખેલાડીઓ-કોચ વગેરેની આવાસ સુવિધાઓ સહિતની વ્યવસ્થાઓ ઓલિમ્પિક્સના ધારા-ધોરણો અનુસાર ઊભી થાય તથા રાજ્યમાં ઓલિમ્પિક્સનું ભવ્ય રીતે આયોજન થાય તે બાબતે જરૂરી માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું હતું.

Shah has directed to develop international level infrastructure facilities at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, which is coming up near the Narendra Modi Stadium, in Motera for hosting the sports included in the Olympics-R036.
The Union Home Minister also directed that the work of creating necessary infrastructure in this sports enclave should be carried out in a time-bound manner. The Union Home Minister also gave necessary guidance in this meeting to ensure that the necessary sports infrastructure, accommodation facilities for players-coaches etc. are set up in accordance with the rules and norms of the Olympics in the places identified by the state government for the games of the Olympics 2036 in Gujarat.
He also reviewed the work progressing on the suggestions made in the first meeting held before this meeting. Amit Shah also suggested that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Sports Minister Harsh Sanghvi should periodically review the work planned by the state government.
Elaborate strategy formulation for organizing the next Olympics in Gujarat in a grand manner was also discussed in this meeting.
The Union Home Minister also visited the Naranpura Sports Complex before this meeting and made necessary suggestions.
Chief Secretary Pankajkumar, Urban Development Principal Secretary Mukesh Kumar, Sports Cultural Activities Department Principal Secretary Ashvinikumar attended the meeting and gave additional details. A presentation on Gujarat’s preparations for Olympics-R036 was presented in this meeting.
