Amul’s Organic journey from May 2022
Dairy Giant Amul forayed into Organic Industry with launch of Amul Organic Atta in May, 2022. Following the successful launch of Amul Organic Atta in May 2022, Amul has launched a wide range of organic products, which include flours, urad dal, chana dal, masoor dal, pulses like moong, whole urad, rajma, desi chana, kabuli chana and different types of rice including basmati and sonmasuri.
Amul is constantly promoting Organic products, creating awareness and educating the consumers about the benefits of organic products through various media campaigns and social media platforms.
Amul’s entry into the organic sector is a significant step towards promoting organic farming and consumption in India. Organic farming is beneficial for the environment as it reduces the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, which can harm the soil, water and biodiversity. Organic farming also enhances the health and nutrition of both farmers and consumers, as it avoids exposure to harmful chemicals and preserves the natural quality and taste of food. Amul has also ensured that the organic products are priced reasonably, making them affordable and accessible to a larger segment of society.
Last year in may, Amit Shah inaugurated organic testing laboratory at AmulFed Dairy, Gandhinagar. Amul has now set up an exclusive Organic store aiming to provide one stop solution and catering to organic needs of consumers. The store will offer a wide range of certified organic products from Amul, which are produced by following the highest standards of organic farming and processing. These products are sourced from certified Organic Farmers, tested in accredited organic testing laboratories and processed in certified Organic plants.
Amul Organic Shoppe will provide an opportunity for the people of Delhi to access healthy and nutritious products and also support the farmers who are adopting sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
Amul aims to open 100 more such exclusive outlets in other cities and towns to cater to the growing demand for organic products.
