ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited (AM/NS India) has refuted the allegations of not giving the jobs to the locals and also causing pollution in Hazira, says a senior official of the company on Friday
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited (AM/NS India) has come across a memorandum submitted by a Hazara-based organisation to the Public Accounts Committee of Gujarat Legislative Assembly on Friday.
AM/NS India is constrained to note that the memorandum makes various baseless and wild allegations against it.
AM/NS India refutes the allegation that it is not giving jobs to the local population.
“AM/NS India has provided employment opportunities to the local talent in roles that match their skills, and a large number of people from Hazira and other villages in the vicinity are working at our plant. We are also investing in skill-building by way of vocational training for men and women in surrounding villages to enhance their employment prospects,” said Anil Matoo, Head – HR, IR and Admin, AM/NS India.
