AHMEDABAD, SEPT 12
Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command and Colonel of the Rajput Regiment, visited Military Station, Vadodara for two days, Friday and Saturday, respectively. He was accompanied by Mamun Mohanty, President, Army Wives Welfare Association (Regional), a Defence release said.

During his two-day visit, the Army Commander was briefed in detail by the Commandant, Electronics and Mechanical Engineers School, Formation Commander and Station Commander on the operational readiness and important training aspects. He also inspected various facilities and security set up by the Army and its efforts to contribute significantly to the nation’s fight against COVID-19.

The Army Commander complimented the upgraded training facilities at the Electronics and Mechanical Engineers School and Training Node of the Formation. The Resident Welfare Association’s assistance during the COVID-19 lockdown and 01 MW solar power plant project initiative which will save electricity as well as will contribute significantly to the green revolution were appreciated during the visit.
Mamun Mohanty also complimented RWA for assistance to families during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She appreciated the 3D models and paintings prepared by children during the lockdown.
