Army Public School, Ahmedabad celebrated annual sports meet – AAGAAZ 2020 – on Friday, January 24, 2020 with great gusto and in the frolicsome atmosphere, a school release said.
The event started with Ganesh Vandana and a welcome dance.
The chief guest Major General Dinesh Srivastav, GOC, Golden Katar Division, Meenu Shrivastav, Chairperson GK FWO, Brigadier Ajit Meelu, Dy GOC, GK Division, and other dignitaries were present to motivate the students.
The sports meet was formally declared open by Brig Ajit Meelu and the oath was administered by the Principal, Anita Sharma.
The day was a fun-filled fest of energy and delight as around 1200 students participated in various sports and cultural activities. The highlight of the sports meet was synchronized march past, dance by tiny tots, mass drill, yoga, aerozium, cycle show by fearless students, etc.
The Principal read out the annual report highlighting the various activities conducted in the school and the achievements of the students.
The programme mesmerized one and all present there. The winners of various events were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
He also awarded Best House and Best marching contingent awards to the students. The Chief Guest praised the efforts of the students and all the endeavours of everyone in the school. He also announced awards for the best academic performance.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
