The Government of India has extended the tenure of Dr Meenesh Shah as Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) by three-and-a-half years, reinforcing institutional continuity at the apex cooperative body steering India’s dairy and allied sectors.
The extension reflects sustained confidence in Shah’s leadership, under which NDDB has strengthened its role as a farmer-driven development organisation, focused on productivity, innovation and inclusive rural growth.
Leadership Across NDDB’s Expanding Ecosystem
Meenesh Shah currently chairs several key NDDB subsidiaries, including Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd, IDMC Ltd, Indian Immunologicals Limited, NDDB Dairy Services, NDDB MRIDA Limited and NDDB CALF Ltd. He also serves as Chairman of national cooperative institutions such as the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India and National Cooperative Organics Ltd, while being associated with multiple research, education and nutrition-focused bodies.
At the global level, Shah is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Dairy Federation and serves as Member Secretary of the Indian National Committee of the IDF, strengthening India’s voice in international dairy policy and standards.
