To give thrust to Centre’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with the office of Advisor to CM, (Defence & Aerospace) on Saturday organised a special interaction with Major General KV Jauhar, Additional Director General, Army Design Bureau to discuss opportunities for the defence industry in Gujarat in Defence R&D and product development.
Major General Jauhar shared his perspective on indigenisation and industry collaboration for various defence-related projects. He emphasised on great Industry-Academia collaboration, a defence release said.
The meeting was chaired by Air Marshal RK Dhir, Advisor to Government of Gujarat and Neelam Rani, IFS, Managing Director, Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) was also present.
This interaction helped the industry members understand way and means to collaborate with Army Design Bureau for new product development.
