KATTANKULATHU (TN), MAR 7
With a view to boost patient safety, the SRM Global Hospital, Kattankulathur in Chengalpattu district (SRM Group of Institutions) has on Tuesday announced that it has started using the Dozee’s AI-based Contactless Remote Patient Monitoring and Early Warning System (EWS) in patient wards.
The SRM Global Hospital inks pact with the Bengaluru-based award winning Dozee’s Made-in-India system to improve the safety and clinical outcomes of the patients by allowing doctors and healthcare workers to monitor patients from a remote destination.
Commenting on the MoU, Dr Sathyanarayanan, President, SRM Global Hospital said, “We are always looking at ways to improve patient safety and care. Dozee’s AI-based contactless vitals monitoring technology is a step in that direction. It will help us keep a close eye on patients remotely around the clock. This will free up our healthcare staff to attend to other tasks and patients. We can improve the quality of care we provide, reduce healthcare costs, and ultimately save more lives by embracing this technology.”
Gaurav Parchani, CTO and Co-founder, Dozee said, “We are delighted that SRM Global Hospital – one of Tamil Nadu’s leading hospitals, with state-of-the-art diagnostic services has chosen to adopt Dozee’s AI-based contactless vitals monitoring technology. This is a testimony to the efficacy of SRM Global Hospital’s resolution to enhance patient safety. Through Dozee’s tech solutions, we strive to enable the delivery of quality care and safeguard the quality of life of both patients and healthcare workers.”
Salient features of Dozee’s EWS
Dozee enables healthcare workers to remotely monitor patients’ vital parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG. Dozee’s Early Warning System (EWS) tracks vital parameter trends and alerts healthcare providers to detect patients’ clinical deterioration early, enabling timely medical intervention. Dozee uses AI-powered Ball is to cardiography (BCG) for contactless vitals monitoring. Dozee’s technology is patented and made in India, and it has been clinically proven to be 98.4% accurate. Continuous vital monitoring significantly impacts patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. Research done by independent consulting firm Sattva shows that for every ~100 Dozee connected beds, it can save 144 lives and 80% of the time taken for vitals by nurses and reduce ICU Average Length Of Stay (ALOS) by ~1.3 days.
Over 2000 nurses trained on advanced RPM by Dozee
As part of its mission to transform the healthcare industry, Dozee uses indigenously developed technology to deliver quality care. Over 2000 nurses have been trained on advanced RPM by Dozee to train and upskill healthcare resources and bring about a holistic revolution in the industry. So far, Dozee has established itself in over 40 districts across 370 hospitals. Dozee’s contribution towards addressing the grassroots challenges of the healthcare industry is paving the way for a new kind of healthcare system, one that prioritizes patient-centricity while creating better health outcomes and delivery, says a release.
