Indian Navy Ship (INS) Valsura has recently undertaken various developmental activities under its outreach programme at Moda village which was reconstructed by the Indian Navy after the massive earthquake of 2001, says a release.

The INS Valsura has played a significant role in rehabilitation and social engineering in Moda village.
The bond between the Indiian Navy and Moda village has only become stronger in the past 20 years. Since its inauguration in 2001, INS Valsura has been closely associated with the development of the village and has conducted various health camps and provisioned various amenities for the welfare of the village besides setting up the Bal Niketan in 2006.
INS Valsura has recently renovated the Bal Niketan and set up a new play area with swings for the children. This was inaugurated by Sapna Chawla, President, Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA), SR on Independence Day, Sunday to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. In addition, fans, medical kits, saplings, stationery items, ration and a Smart TV were gifted to the village to mark the 75th years of Independence.
