To spread the message of Clean and Green energy, Gujarat Minister of State, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Jagadishbhai Vishwakarma on Friday morning flagged off a rally of over 150 electric vehicles from Sabarmati River Front House here.
The special Electrical Vehicle (EV) rally was organized from Riverfront House to Vastrapur Lake. More than 150 two-, three- and four-wheelers participated in the EV rally.
On this occasion, Jagadishbhai Vishwakarma said, “There is a dire need to use clean and green energy for the better development of nation and the future generation. The EV rally will spread the message of prudent usage of clean and green energy.”
M Annadurai, State level coordinator, Oil Companies, ED and state head IOCL said, “Oil companies took various initiatives for Oil and Gas conservation. For the betterment of future generations, the mother earth and the nation, Clean and Green energy is required. To spread this message we have organized an EV rally which is the first of its kind in the nation to spread the message of lean and green energy.”
The Oil & Gas Conservation drive with a theme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav through Green & Clean Energy which was observed from 11.04.2022 to 30.04.2022 concluded on Friday. It was organized by the oil industry comprising the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., & GAIL (India) Ltd. in association with PCRA (Petroleum Conservation & Research Association).
On this occasion, Rakesh Shah, MLA, Ellisbridge, S J Haider, IAS, Principal Secretary, Climate Change Deptt, Govt of Gujarat and the officials of Oil Industry were present.
