AHMEDABAD, AUG 15
In line with the Government of India initiative to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, on 75th Independence Day, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) hoisted the national flag at 11 different islands across Gujarat to evoke feeling of nationalism and continue to generate patriotic fervour among the general public, says a Defence release.
The local community participated in the event with equal vigour. The hoisting of national flag by Coast Guard men in uniform at all remotely accessible sites is in sync with Coast Guard ethos and motto ‘We Protect’.
This is a befitting tribute to Bravehearts who have made countless sacrifices safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation.
