B Uday Bhaskar has taken over as Chief General Manager (CGM) of NABARD, Telangana Regional Office on Monday.
- Uday Bhaskar joined NABARD in 1993 in Karnataka State and went on serving in various capacities in Regional Offices at Jharkhand, Karnataka, AP and Head Office at Mumbai.
- He has also served as District Development Manager (DDM) of NABARD, Warangal (in Erstwhile AP)
Native of Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh, Uday Bhaskar has 31 years of rich experience in development banking. He is a Post Graduate in Agriculture from Bapatla Agricultural College, Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (now ANGRAU).
Uday Bhaskar joined NABARD in 1993 in Karnataka State and went on serving in various capacities in Regional Offices at Jharkhand, Karnataka, AP and Head Office at Mumbai.
He has handled diversified portfolios in NABARD in the areas of Rural Infrastructure financing, refinance, credit planning, farm sector development projects, MSME Sector, development of Rural Cooperative Institutions, Regional Rural Banks, among others, in various senior positions.
He has also served as District Development Manager (DDM) of NABARD, Warangal (in Erstwhile AP) and pioneered several initiatives in the district like, implementation of watershed and tribal development projects, rural livelihood programmes, promotion and nurturing of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), rural entrepreneurship development, Women Empowerment Programmes like SHG-Bank Linkage Programme, Financial Inclusion, etc.
He was heading the State Projects Department at Head Office, Mumbai, prior to joining Telangana Office.
