Baheti Recycling Industries’ revenue fires 89% higher in Q1 FY27; copper alloy play adds new growth trigger

  • Net revenue surges to Rs. 253.94 crore from Rs. 134.43 crore
  • Alloy ingots remain core earnings engine with Rs. 149.27 crore revenue
  • New copper alloy ingots clock Rs. 4.72 crore in maiden commercial quarter

NE BUSINESS BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, JULY 29

Baheti Recycling Industries has given investors a strong opening-quarter signal for FY27, with revenue growth accelerating sharply even as the recycler widens its earnings runway beyond aluminium. Net revenue jumped 88.90% year-on-year to Rs. 253.94 crore in Q1 FY27, against Rs. 134.43 crore in the year-ago quarter, riding on strong demand, an improved product mix and efficient execution.

For the stock-market, however, the headline number is only half the story. The more significant development is Baheti’s entry into copper alloy ingots, a new value-added product segment that began commercial sales during the quarter and generated Rs. 4.72 crore in revenue in its debut period.

KEY NUMBERS | Q1 FY27

Alloy ingots remained the company’s biggest revenue contributor, accounting for Rs. 149.27 crore during the quarter. The De-Ox segment generated another Rs. 63.87 crore, while copper alloy ingots added Rs. 4.72 crore as the company began commercial sales of the new product.

The performance was supported by healthy demand for recycled aluminium products, an improved product mix and operational efficiencies across manufacturing facilities.

Management sees value-added products as the next earnings lever

Yash Shah, Managing Director, Baheti Recycling Industries, said: “We have commenced FY27 on a strong note with robust growth across our core business segments. The encouraging performance reflects sustained demand for recycled aluminium products, improved operational efficiencies and the expansion of our product portfolio.”

Shah added: “We remain focused on expanding our manufacturing capabilities, increasing the contribution of value-added products and capitalising on the growing demand for sustainable recycled metals.”

For investors, the emphasis on value addition could be important as Baheti seeks to evolve from a conventional aluminium recycler into a broader recycled-metals player. The maiden commercial contribution from copper alloy ingots provides an early indication of the company’s diversification strategy.

Recycling story gains a broader metals footprint

Baheti Recycling Industries operates in aluminium recycling and the manufacture of aluminium alloys and de-oxidation alloys, converting metal scrap into recycled products for industrial applications.

The company’s expansion into copper alloys adds another leg to its product portfolio while reinforcing its circular-economy positioning. With industries increasingly seeking recycled inputs to reduce resource intensity and environmental impact, the company expects demand for sustainable recycled metals to remain a key growth driver.

Baheti currently has operations across 12 states and Union Territories and serves customers in international markets, including Japan, Canada, the US, China, Hong Kong, the UAE and Taiwan.

The Q1 performance therefore puts three factors firmly on the investor radar for FY27: sustaining the near-89% revenue growth, scaling the new copper-alloy business and increasing the share of value-added products.

For a recycling company, the scrap may be old—but Baheti’s latest numbers suggest its growth story is getting a new-age makeover.
