Hungarian-registered, Chinese-owned Benelli’s sister-brand Keeway has unveiled two products – the K-Light 250V cruiser motorcycle, the Vieste 300 maxi-scooter – in Ahmedabad on Monday.
All products will be brought in via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route and assembled at its Hyderabad plant in Telangana. Bookings for the two-wheelers have opened online for Rs 10,000. The company has so far sold over 20,000 units within two months of its launch.
This was announced by Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli | Keeway India at the launch of Gujarat’s first and the country’s 52nd outlet at D-1,2Titanium Square, Thaltej crossroads, Sarkhej – Gandhinagar Hwy, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380054, the brand new state-of-the-art facility is designed to support sales, service, and spares in Ahmedabad.
Speaking at the inauguration, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli | Keeway India said, “We are delighted to partner with Dathawala Automotive Pvt Ltd. Gujarat is an important market for Benelli | Keeway India, with this dealership we are enhancing our presence in the state. Moreover, looking forward to offering customers easy access to premium mobility solutions. The sales touchpoint is operated under the leadership of Shanil Harshadbhai Padia, Dathawala Automotive Pvt Ltd. We will have over 100 dealers by 2023.”
Answering a query on the government’s thrust on EVs, Vikas said, the R&D on developing the EVs was going on and it would take a year or two to launch them.

The facility would highlight Benelli’s range of superbikes as well as products from the recently launched Hungarian marque Keeway. The 3S showroom will also display merchandise and accessories.
Keeway India has announced the prices for the country’s most-affordable V-twin cruiser motorcycle, the K-Light 250V. This product from the two-wheeler maker is available from Rs 2,89,000 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad) onwards and it is available in three colours – Matte Blue, Matte Dark Grey, and Matte Black. The motorcycle is backed by a two-year/unlimited kilometres warranty.
The Keeway K-Light 250V is a typical cruiser motorcycle with a butch design. It features a large sculpted tank which houses the instrument cluster, a round headlight, a contoured seat for the rider, dual exhaust pipes and a swingarm-mounted mud guard and number plate holder.
The Vieste 300 maxi-scooter has an angular front apron that houses the headlamp unit with four LED projectors. It also gets a tinted windscreen, a part-analogue and part-digital instrument cluster, LED tail-light and keyless operation. The maxi-scooter comes with a 12-litre fuel tank, 13-inch alloy wheels with a 110/70 front tyre and a 130/70 rear tyre, and has a kerb weight of 147kg.
The Vieste 300 will be offered in three colours – Matte Black, Matte Blue and Matte White and priced at Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad) onwards.

Following the launch of the aforementioned products, the brand plans on introducing another cruiser, two retro-style street motorcycles, a street naked and a race replica motorcycle in our market. Keeway has partnered up with Adishwar Auto Ride India, which is also Benelli’s partner in the country.
