A spiritually uplifting chapter unfolded in Ahmedabad on Sunday as the Jain Anushthan Sanstha inaugurated its special 53-day Divya Adhyatmik “Bhaktamar Sankalp Siddhi Anushthan”, bringing together thousands of devotees for an immersive journey of mantra sadhana, meditation and inner transformation.

Held at Tara Shanti Sorath Cultural Hall, Paldi, the inaugural ceremony witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 5,500 devotees registering for the free spiritual programme dedicated to the timeless teachings of Jain philosophy and the sacred Bhaktamar Stotra, one of Jainism’s most revered devotional hymns.
The event was conducted in the divine presence of Nikunj Guruji, regarded by followers as a contemporary exponent of Jain spiritual practices. Devotees experienced the live chanting of sacred mantras and participated in the collective recitation of the Bhaktamar Mantra, creating an atmosphere of devotion and spiritual energy.
The ceremony was further enriched by an address from Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Shah, one of Ahmedabad’s renowned physicians, who explained the profound spiritual significance and transformative power associated with the Bhaktamar Mantra, highlighting its role in cultivating faith, positivity and mental balance.
Addressing the gathering, Jain Muni Shri Harshbodhiji Maharaj Saheb said: “Nikunj Guru and Jain Anushthan Sanstha are like a blade of grass in a dry desert. At a time when people are suffering economically, physically and mentally from all directions, such a free 53-day spiritual discipline will bring relief to thousands facing life’s challenges.”

During the inaugural session, Nikunj Guruji guided participants through various aspects of the prescribed spiritual rituals and explained the significance of numerology alongside mantra sadhana, encouraging devotees to embrace disciplined spiritual practice as a pathway to self-realisation and inner harmony.
The Bhaktamar Stotra, composed centuries ago by Acharya Mantunga, occupies a special place in Jain devotional literature and is traditionally believed by followers to inspire courage, devotion and spiritual strength through disciplined recitation. The 53-day anushthan seeks to revive these ancient practices in a structured community setting, fostering collective prayer and personal spiritual growth.
The organisers said the initiative aims to provide a platform where seekers from diverse walks of life can experience the values of compassion, mindfulness, self-discipline and inner peace that form the cornerstone of Jain philosophy.
