Enthused by the superhit ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate’, Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah duo have launched the trailer of ‘Fakt Purusho Maate’, a family drama that focuses on gender equality and conflicts between two generations in Ahmedabad on Monday.
After lending his voice to ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate’ (2022), Superstar Amitabh Bachchan features in a pivotal role in the upcoming Gujarati comedy film ‘Fakt Purusho Maate.’ The film’s release planned for August 23 a few days before Janmashtami. In the opening dialogue, Big B takes ownership of pan-India title.
The trailer opens with Big B, who essays the role of God, conversing with Darshan Jariwala at the stairway to heaven, where the Bollywood megastar introduces himself not as a South Indian but ‘pan-Indian’. The trailer takes the viewers on a hilarious ride, with witty one-liners and well-crafted characters. The trailer gives audiences a glimpse into the much-awaited Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah entertainer.
When the trailer of ‘Fakt Purusho Maate,’ the much-awaited sequel of the blockbuster hit, was dropped, it took social media by storm. Hinting at an unusual tale about a patriarch returning from the afterlife to interfere with his grandson’s wedding, it also gave fans a glimpse of a surprising cameo by superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
The glittering ensemble cast including Yash Soni, Mitra Gadhvi, Esha Kansara and Darshan Jariwala has led to waves of excitement among the fans as well. Written and directed by Jay Bodas and Parth Trivedi, this comedy of errors is the third Gujarati collaboration of Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah. Their previous film ‘Tron Ekka’ (2023) was also a thumping hit.
Anand Pandit says, “Like ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate,’ the sequel also addresses pertinent issues in a light-hearted manner and takes on generational patriarchy to endorse gender equality and the right to love beyond social restrictions.
