The young Patidar leader who has just been appointed working president of the Gujarat unit of the Congress will be turning 27 on Monday, a GPCC release said.
To mark his birthday, Working President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Hardik Patel will pay obeisance to Lord Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev on Monday at 8 am and commence his two-day Saurashtra tour from there.
After visiting the temple, Patel will meet Gir-Somnath district Congress leaders and workers, and journalists at party MLA Vimalbhai Chudasma’s office, Tower Chowk in Veraval. He will discuss the issues being faced by the farmers, youth, industry, and business during the pandemic period. He will also get the feedback of party leaders for the bypolls of eight Assembly seats, which had been vacated by Congress MLAs on the eve of recent Rajya Sabah polls, sources said.
On Tuesday, the second day of his tour, Patel will join a fleet of Congress leaders from Jamnagar Bypass Crossroads towards Dwarka at 9:30 am. In Dwarka, he will visit Dwarkadhish Temple at 12:15 pm.
Later at 4:30 pm, he will hold a marathon meeting with Jamnagar and Devbhumi Dwarka district Congress Party leaders and workers, and journalists. The meeting will be held at Sanskar Resort, Opposite Kansumara Patiya, Jamnagar Bypass Road, Jamnagar, the release added
