- Badminton Championship 2022 will be held from Wednesday, 15th June to Sunday, 19th June 2022

- For the first time in Ahmedabad, under 17 and under 19 age categories (Singles Boys & Girls, Doubles Boys & Girls, Mix doubles) are going to play in a state-level badminton tournament which will be held at Blackk & One Sports Foundation.

Blackk & One Sports Foundation on Monday announced that Yonex – Sunrise Gujarat State Badminton Championship 2022 starts on Wednesday, 15th June 2022 at Blackk & One Sports Foundation, Eklavya Sports complex here.
Total 166 players will participate in this badminton tournament. The tournament will start at 8.00 am and end at 9.00 pm. It will be a knockout format tournament. Players will be divided into different groups: Singles boys, doubles boys, singles girls, double girls and mix doubles (under 17 & under 19 age category).
Commenting on this, Jitendra Yadav, Owner of Blackk & One Sports Foundation said, “The tournament will begin on 15th June, for the first time in Ahmedabad, under 17 and under 19 (Singles Boys & Girls, Doubles Boys & Girls, Mix doubles) are going to play in a state-level badminton tournament which is being held at our badminton academy. Blackk & One Sports Foundation is Ahmedabad’s largest private badminton academy with International-level 5 courts. We are using Service Judging equipment which is used in international level tournaments, but for the first time it is being used in Gujarat by Blackk & One Sports Foundation.”

The academy is spread out over a 12,000 sq. ft. area with wooden flooring. It is also open to adults who wish to play badminton for fitness and fun. They can reserve a time slot and play.
Ahmedabad’s largest private badminton academy, Blackk & One Sports Foundation, was inaugurated by Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi. The academy offers learning and coaching for children aged 6 years and above and has national and international coaches, who are crucial for training and grooming in this sport. The academy is also well equipped with a gymnasium and a physiotherapy centre, which adds value to those associated with the sport. Apart from the basic training, the academy will provide semi-advanced and advanced badminton coaching.
