The immunity level among women goes down during their menstrual days and maintaining hygiene and proper nourishment are paramount importance for them In small towns, especially menstrual health and hygiene is often undermined because of the various stigma and social taboos attached to it. Through this campaign, Paree aimed to proliferate the message of menstrual hygiene and stressed the importance of keeping personal hygiene to protect the self and the community at large.
Commenting on this CSR initiative, Sahil Dharia, Founder & CEO of Soothe Healthcare stated that “Paree has always been active in addressing health and hygiene issues related to women and these health checkup camps were our bit to spread awareness in various cities and towns of Gujarat. Menstrual hygiene continues to be amongst one of the most challenging issues today. We are aiming to meet our objective through integrated awareness, motivation & meditation programmes which will be conducted in multiple locations during our pan India social drive. We aim to reach out to as many women as possible so that maximum women are benefitted by our initiative”.
To address this challenge, Paree kick-started its campaign by setting up health check-up camps across departmental stores in different cities of Gujarat. The camps were conducted in cities like Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Bilaspur, and Rajkot.
Along with the health checkup, Paree also distributed free samples of their products. Women actively interacted with the doctors who did their check-up and came up with their queries related to menstruation and general health. It was quite an informative and helpful session and got many positive responses from the women who attended them.
