Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and Maharatna PSU, has signed 23 transformational Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at India Energy Week 2026, marking a pivotal advance in expanding its energy footprint, accelerating diversification and enabling future-forward solutions across the energy value chain.

The agreements — spanning crude and LNG sourcing, gas infrastructure, petrochemicals, clean fuels, mobility solutions, and customer-focused EV charging initiatives — are designed to unlock long-term value, strengthen supply chains, enhance energy security, and further BPCL’s sustainability goals in alignment with India’s evolving energy needs.
Strategic Growth Partnerships Across the Energy Spectrum
Several key deals signed by BPCL at the global energy conclave include:
- Trafigura: BPCL’s first-ever term contract for imports of Iraqi Basrah and Omani crude, marking a strategic milestone in diversified crude sourcing and energy security.
- TotalEnergies: Strategic agreement to strengthen UAE crude procurement and broaden global sourcing capabilities.
- GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd: Development of a 56-km aviation turbine fuel pipeline linking Malkapur to Hyderabad Airport.
- GSPL India Gasnet & Transco: Access expansion to national gas corridors.
- GAIL: Fuel and infrastructure support for the Bina Refinery & Petrochemical Complex.

BPCL’s Broader Vision & Green Push
At the same event, BPCL also marked growth beyond MoUs, including commissioning a 71 MWp solar plant in Prayagraj, underscoring the company’s commitment to clean energy and its Net-Zero roadmap.
BPCL’s strengthened global trading strategy was highlighted by plans to open a trading desk in Singapore to expand crude, LNG and fuels trade, enhancing its role as a key player in international energy markets.
