With a view to honoring the fire and safety officers and similarly enlightening the public regarding their invaluable roles in the society, the Gujarat Fire and Rescue Awards -‘Garv’ – was organized here at Swarnim Sankul in Gandhinagar.
The Gujarat Fire and Rescue Awards, ‘Garv’ were bestowed upon the real superheroes aka fire and safety officers who selflessly serve the society by risking their lives. The awards duly recognize their commendable service and unprecedented roles in protecting society in the need of the hour.
‘Garv’ organization works with an objective to honoring such real superheroes who are working behind the scenes with a solid determination to ensure security in the life of every Indian without worrying about their lives. It is because of their unflinching readiness which makes this society a safe place to live and that’s why they are the real heroes. We therefore brand them as the superheroes and it becomes equally essential for us to create awareness among the people about these heroes and not to mention their empathy, love, sensitivity and selfless work for the nation.
The awards profoundly recognized the officers of Gujarat Fire Department for their noble work. Their true bravery and adventure can certainly inspire generations to come thereby encouraging the youth to go ahead and contribute in building a brighter future for the country.
Among the members of the jury who were present on this award ceremony include, former Fire Advisor to the Government of India, Dr DK Shami, Former chief of Delhi Fire Service SK Dheri., former director of UP State Fire Service Dr PK Rao, Deputy Municipal Commissioner and then In-Charge Director of Maharashtra Fire Services, Prabhat Rahangdale, Director of Gujarat State Fire Prevention Service. KK Bishnoi, and Swastik Jaheja, and President of IAFE, CFSO, SPAI, AIFSSCB, AIFFF, GFSOWA of Gujarat State.
The organizer of the event while speaking on this occasion said, “One should never forget the courage, determination and work done by the officers of Gujarat Fire Department during emergencies. Their readiness to take risks in any circumstances depicts their leadership qualities as well as their love and care for the people and society. They are the real inspiration of our youth and the new generation can learn a lot from them, which will be very useful for the overall development and well-being of the country.”
The awards ceremony was attended by about 2,000 guests, including fire and safety personnel and their family members. Apart from this, various ministers, Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities were also present. The award ceremony also featured entertaining performances by famous artists, including singing and dancing, folk singing, sand art work, comedy act, police band performance and liquid drumming.
