On the occasion of the festival of Karthigai Deepam on Sunday, the Isha Ashram was illuminated by the light of thousands of Deepams.

The public and Isha volunteers celebrated the festival by lighting clay lamps at the Dhyanalinga and Linga Bhairavi temples, the theerthakunds, Nandi, Adiyogi and other places in Isha.
A special Nada Aradhana, an offering of live music, was held to mark the 24th anniversary of the offering of the Dhyanalinga, consecrated by Sadhguru to the world. A Pournami Abhishekam for Linga Bhairavi was conducted followed by a Maha Arti in front of Nandi.

Registering a footfall of over 40 lakh visitors, Maha Deepam revived the festive mood in Tiruvannamalai on Sunday. Thousands of devotees chanting ‘Arunchaleshwara’ marked the day-long puja that culminated in the lighting of the ‘Maha Deepam’ atop the Annamalai Hills at 6 pm on Sunday, the last day of the Karthigai Deepam festival.
The day unfurled with a puja, followed by the lighting of the ‘Bharani Deepam’ at 4 am at the temple.

The Pancha Ratham procession was held in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvannamalai district as part of the 10-day-long Karthigai Deepam festival. The procession began on Thursday morning and ended this morning at 5.23 am.
Thousands of devotees took part in the Pancha Ratham (Chariot pulling) procession during the ‘Karthigai Deepam’ festival. Five chariots- Vinayagar Chariot, Subramaniyar Chariot, Annamalayar Chariot, Parasakthi Amman Chariot, and Chandikeshvarar Chariot were part of the procession.

The ‘Karthigai Deepam’ festival is held every year on the full moon day of the month of Karthikai. The festival is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya. People light clay lamps and pray for their family’s wealth.
