The S&P BSE Sensex derivatives turnover scaled a high of Rs 6,06,637 crores (Rs 6,06,576 crore in options and Rs 61 crore in futures) to post the highest single day turnover in the exchange on Friday.
The turnover jumped 77% from previous week’s expiry turnover of Rs 3,42,129 crores.
Total 96.11 lakh contracts were traded. The total open interest reached a peak of 4.93 lakh contracts before expiry.
