The Border Security Force (BSF) Gujarat Frontier recovered six kilograms of heroin near the India-Pakistan International Border in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on the intervening night of 14/15 December 2023.
On suspicion during Khura checking, a search operation was conducted in the area, in which six packets of heroin, weighing approximately six kg, were recovered by the BSF.
The operation was jointly carried out by the BSF, Special Operation Group (SOG) and Barmer police near Babhuto ki Dhani under Bijrad police station limits in Barmer, an official statement said.
BSF along with other security agencies are investigating the matter.
The BSF Gujarat Frontier secures the 826-kms international border along Barmer district of Rajasthan and Gujarat. This includes 85 kms of coastal area.
