A special operation team of the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 10 one-kilogram packets of charas washed ashore on an island off the Gujarat coast, an official said on Sunday.

Ten packets with a picture of rooster printed on them were recovered during the day from isolated Khidrat Bet island about two km off Jakhau coast in Kutch district, the force said in a statement.
The packets were packed in a yellow coloured plastic bag and each have a picture of rooster on it.
Till date 40 packets of Charas have been recovered off Jakhau Coast since mid of April 2023. BSF Gujarat is on high alert all along its area of responsibility in view of upcoming Independence Day. Extensive search of the isolated bets off Jakhau coast have been launched by BSF, the statement added.
