The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the results of the CA Intermediate and Foundation exams held in January 2025. Eleven students from Ahmedabad have made it to the top 50 ranks in the Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate examination. Among them, a girl student has secured AIR 12 that too in maiden attempt.
Govt school teacher’s daughter secures 12th rank in intermediate exam
In a record of sort, Vidhi Pankajkumar Talati, daughter of a government school teacher, made a maiden attempt and secured an impressive All India Rank 12 without pursuing graduation after HSC.
Commenting on the results, ICAI Central Council Member CA Purushottam Khandelwal said, “The overall pass percentage for both groups of the CA Intermediate examination is 14.05%, with Group 1 recording 14.17% and Group 2 achieving 22.16%. The pass percentage for the CA Foundation exam across India is 21.52%, which was 19.67% in September 2024.”
Newly-installed Chairperson of Ahmedabad Branch, CA Neerav Agrawal, said, “In the CA Intermediate exam held in January 2025, the pass percentage at the Ahmedabad centre for both groups combined was 21.94%, with Group 1 at 8.12% and Group 2 at 31.56%. Incidentally, in September 2024, these figures stood at 3.80%, 12.07%, and 19.22%, respectively.”
At the national level, candidates appearing for both Intermediate groups achieved a 14.05% pass rate, with Group-1 at 14.17% and Group-2 at 22.16%. The nationwide Foundation examination results showed a significant improvement, jumping to 21.52% from 19.67% in September 2024.
