He succeeds Commodore Raghav, who superannuated after a distinguished and impactful career spanning both the Indian Navy and the NCC, leaving behind a strong legacy of discipline, training excellence, and youth empowerment.

Commanding One of India’s Most Influential NCC Directorates
The NCC Directorate under his leadership spans the entire state of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, including Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.
With six Group Headquarters and 59 units across Army, Naval, and Air wings, the Directorate mentors and trains thousands of cadets enrolled in schools and colleges—preparing them for leadership roles in the armed forces and civil society.
A Legacy of National Excellence and Youth Leadership
The Directorate has earned national recognition for its outstanding performances at the prestigious Republic Day Camp, where cadets have consistently showcased excellence, discipline, and patriotism.
Cadets from the region have also excelled in national shooting championships, adventure expeditions, and international youth exchange programmes—building confidence, resilience, and global exposure.
Beyond training, NCC cadets have played a crucial role in disaster response efforts, assisting authorities during cyclones, floods, and emergency situations across Tamil Nadu and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands—demonstrating their commitment to national service.
