Canara Bank, one of the leading Nationalized Banks, on Saturday announced that for the betterment of unemployed youth and women in Thekkalur, Velayudhampalayam, Kaniyampoondi, Nambiampalayam, and Sembianallur panchayat unions falling under Avinasi taluka a month-long free tailoring camp will commence on Monday, April 11.

The bank’s Social Services wing Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) invites applications from all men and women in the age group of 18 years and 45 years with reading and writing capability can join this 30-day free tailoring course. During the course of the training, tea will be served both morning and evening and lunch will be given.
At the end of successful training, Central Government’s Skill India certificates will be issued to the participants. And also counselling will be held to avail loans for starting their business.
Those who are interested to join this course are requested to visit Canara Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Opposite District Industries Centre, Near Traffic Signal, Avinasi Road, Anupparpalayam Pudur, Tirupur-641652 in person. Preference will be given on ‘first come, first served’ basis, said training centre director J Bhupathi.

Canara Bank RSETI has been functioning at Anupparpalayam,Tirupur since 19.11.2011. It has been giving free Self Employment Training to Unemployed Youth in various trades throughout the year, the statement added.
